On Friday the 11th of December, the staff and pupils of Ballyheerin National school wore their Christmas jumpers. We are proud to gave all donations collected to the children’s hospital in Crumlin. We are thinking of all the children in hospital and their families at this very special time of year.
We are delighted to be using the class dojo platform to communicate with parents and to acknowledge the great work that our pupils and teachers are doing in our school. One of the highlights so far this year was recording the poems and songs which we learned for Oíche Shamhna. The Senior Class even made a spooky halloween movie and learnt a spooky dance!
We are delighted with our new shelter which was assembled last week. The children have enjoyed playing under it and staying dry during the wet November days! We have also enjoyed seeing the most beautiful rainbows this week!

The senior class enjoyed a lovely walk around Ballyheerin today. We had a look at the two older national schools that were in Ballyheerin before the establishment of our present school in 1913. The staff of Ballyheerin NS were absolutely delighted to welcome the children of Ballyheerin NS back to school after a long time apart! We are delighted to re-united with our pupils and we would like to gave an especially warm fáilte to Sophie and Natasha, our two new junior infants!

Our school community have been hard at work, from home. Spring is a busy time on our farms so the teachers of Ballyheerin National school are delighted and the children were able to juggle their school-work and all their farming jobs. This week we had a farm themed week, where our reading and writing projects, music, Gaeilge art related to the farm. We also
