Pioneers -All Ireland Champions

We were delighted to have a visit from the Pioneer All Ireland Senior Quiz Champions Manus McElwaine and John Dorrian with their perpetual trophy to the school.

The two local men are a great example to the children of people who choose to become pioneers for life.

This winning quiz team, from Fanad, last won the Pioneer All Ireland final was 40 years ago in 1978. A great achievement to have finally won it again.

Comhghairdeas daoibh Manus & John, agus an bheirt eile a bhĂ ar an fhoireann fĂłsta – Maria & Neil.

Food Dudes

All of the children have taken part in the healthy eating Food Dudes programme. We had phase 1 before Easter where fruit and veg was distributed to the children for tasting and eating. After Easter we had phase 2 where the children brought their own fruit and veg in from home as part of their lunch. We hope you will continue to encourage your children to choose fruit and veg as part of their healthy lunch.
