Paired Reading Programme

The Paired Reading Programme runs for 6 weeks in February and supports the development of pupils’ reading skills through shared reading experiences.

This initiative encourages pupils to read together with a partner — which may include older pupils, classmates, teachers, or family members — helping to build confidence, fluency, and a love of reading.

Through regular reading sessions, pupils benefit from guidance, encouragement, and positive reinforcement, making reading an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
